Ava began her dance journey with Candy Apple’s when she was 2 ½. She began competing when she was 4 in her first group number Big Girls Don’t Cry and continued competing until she was 19. For her Senior year, Ava played Tracy for the recital production of Hair Spray. After graduating high school, Ava continued her dance career with a professional hip hop team in Cleveland called Pro2Jay while attending college at Walsh University. After one year with the team, Ava decided to focus more on her studies and joined the dance team for Walsh University. Ava graduated from Walsh University in 2013 with a Bachelors in Science in Early Childhood Education. She taught for four years in Canton South and is now teaching Integrated Preschool(typically developing children and children with special needs) at Lake Cable Elementary in Jackson Township. CADC has always been a second home and Ava is very excited to be back teaching where she grew up.
Ever since the age of 2, Michael has been heavily invested into the world of dance. Early on, he started getting involved in competitions year after year, achieving numerous overall and high score awards. In 2003, he won his very first title of Jr. Mr. Dance of Ohio, and after went on to become Teen Mr. Dance of Ohio 2005, and Mr. Dance of Ohio 2012. Aside from the competition scene, Michael was highly active in choir and musical theater during is school years, while also landing the lead role of Ren McCormack in Footloose and performing in other various shows. In 2015, he went on to audition for the hit TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance”, where he advanced past the improvisational round into the television round to perform in front of Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul, and Jason Derulo. Michael is a dedicated choreographer/teacher who’s always passionate about making sure that not only his students unleash their full potential, but that he does as well. He believes that everyone can continue to learn, regardless of whether you’re the student or the teacher. Michael is incredibly thrilled to share his love of dance with anyone who’s passionate about learning and creating this amazing art that we have.
